“Stand by Me!” is a compelling drama that follows the lives of three Iranian women who
meet during a protest against a controversial workplace law in Europe mandating prolonged
standing. The play explores the physical and emotional toll of this law, which
disproportionately affects workers in service industries.
Through five acts, the narrative delves into the women’s unique stories—Sheler, a human
rights activist seeking to champion environmental causes; Diyar, a music lover striving to
heal from past traumas and pursue her singing dreams; and Sarvenaz, a struggling actress
battling chronic pain while desperately trying to reunite with her daughter.
As their lives intertwine, “Stand by Me!” tells the story of three Iranian women navigating a
harsh, unforgiving winter.
