Pejman Hadadi
is a renowned Iranian percussionist, widely recognized for his mastery of the tombak and daf—traditional Persian drums. Born in Tehran in 1969, he began studying tombak at the age of ten with master teachers such as Assadollah Hejazi and Bahman Rajabi. In 1989, he moved to the United States and began performing professionally in 1991.
Hadadi has collaborated with some of the most celebrated artists in Persian classical music, including Hossein Alizadeh and the Dastan Ensemble, which he joined in 1995. He is also a founding member of the acclaimed percussion group Zarbang, performing at major festivals and concert halls worldwide.
In addition to his performances, Hadadi has developed innovative techniques and instruments, including a tunable frame drum called Pezhvāk. He has contributed to film scores and music for dance and is a dedicated teacher of Persian rhythmic traditions.
Amir Nojan
is an Iranian-born musician and master of the setar, a traditional Persian instrument. Born in Shiraz in 1980, he studied under great masters such as Mohammad Reza Lotfi, Jalal Zolfonun, and Dariush Tala’i. He founded the Nava Ensemble in 1998 and has performed internationally as a soloist and composer. In 2012, he established the Shiraz Arts Academy in San Jose, California.
