Join us for a soulful and immersive workshop where you’ll explore the spiritual sounds of the
Setar
and
Tanbour
, two of Iran’s most cherished string instruments. Whether you’re a beginner or simply curious about traditional music, this session offers a unique opportunity to connect with Persian culture through sound.
Led by an experienced musician, each 45-minute session introduces you to foundational techniques and traditional melodies in a relaxed and welcoming space.
What You’ll Experience:
Introduction to the Setar and Tanbour and their cultural significance
Guidance on posture, hand positioning, tuning, and strumming techniques
Practice of traditional Persian and Kurdish melodies
Group rhythm-building and technique sharing
Instruments provided (or bring your own)
